CONCERN over Remington Rotary shaver cutters?
I was concerned to find out that my Remington R510 rotary shaver has PVD Diamond Like Carbon DLC coated cutters after finding a webpage about the dangers of ingesting diamond or diamond dust: where it says that because of peristalsis which forces the shards deeper and deeper into tissues, the victim would be dead within 2 – 6 months.

Although I know that this refers to diamond itself, I am still very concerned about this because DLC is also very hard like diamond and I worry that if I swallowed a fragment of this DLC material then the catastrophic effects outlined in the above link could happen ?
Can you tell me how hard PVD DLC is compared to diamond ?

There is NO WAY in this entire world that your Remington rotary shaver cutters will give off that much hard fibres from your cutters, they would wear away to nothing!
This article is referring to breathing in diamond dust by people that cut diamonds for a living. And why would you be swallowing anything from this razor? Do you know how much you would have to swallow before you died?? It’s not like if you swallowed a diamond your going to die, you need A LOT of pulverised diamond material.
Think about it, many people from the war survived with shrapnel deep in their body and they are alive 70 years later…
Please try to get help for your OCD, cognitive behaviour therapy helps show you that you have nothing to fear from such things. If razors were such death traps do you think they would be on the market? and if so wouldn’t you have heard of such a death?
If you think about it, lots of people try to kill themselves every day, if it were as easy as buying a Remington rotary shaver there would be a lot more fatalities. It’s not that easy to die… sure, if you worked in a diamond mine all your life, cut diamonds, perhaps but you’d just take precautions.
