I had almost given up shaving, when my wife surprised me with the Panasonic ES8243A wet dry shaver! Actually, her giving me a shaver was just a big hint. Panasonic – Wet & Dry
My first impression was that the shaver was really “cool” looking. Kind of “space age”, with a very masculine deep blue color. Also, when I first turned it on, it was quieter than I thought it would be.
So, here is the deal. I have the world’s thickest beard. In fact, their have been times that I have considered using my lawn mower to shave!(just kidding- no, I am really NOT kidding!)Sometimes, especially if I had to look my best for a special event or meeting, I would shave TWICE a day!

So, to say that I was skeptical about getting a close enough shave with the Panasonic ES8243A, is putting it mildly. Because I always used to shave in the shower with a blade, I decided to try my new shaver their. All I can say is…
“HOLY COW!”
I honestly could barely tell that I was getting a shave! The shaver went through my beard like butter! No pulling or dragging, and it hugged the curves of my face like a NAScar race car. The most amazing thing was I did not have to go over tricky spots more than once.
In the old days, I would have to go over my chin like a zillion times to get a smooth surface. Apparently, this model has some kind of “linear” motor that operates at 13000 r.p.m., which gives it “super”powers!
So, I am thinking of giving  my wife a shaver for Christmas. I will have to check and see if I can find a ladies model of the Panasonic ES8243A!
